Moonshine Flats Receives ACM Nomination
Good Time Design’s first live music and entertainment venue, Moonshine Flats, is receiving national recognition from the Academy of Country Music this week with a ACM Industry nomination for Nightclub of the Year. Other nominees include Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxville, TN, Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, OH, Keg’s Canalside in Jordan, NY and Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Las Vegas, NV.
Established in 2014, Moonshine Flats set out to provide a different kind of nightlife experience. At over 18,000 square feet, the venue spans 2 levels and features a massive wooden dance floor, state of the art A/V equipment and one of the largest LED screens in Southern California.
Since opening, Moonshine Flats has hosted multiple ACM award winners and nominees like Rodney Atkins, Old Dominion and LOCASH, as well as many rising stars like LANco, Brett Young and Morgan Wallen. In addition to larger acts, the venue has become known for bringing in new local talent as well as many up and coming acts from Tennessee, which has inspired the industry nickname, “The Nashville of the West.”
The team behind Moonshine Flats prides itself on finding the next big thing, and providing them with a vessel to showcase their talent. As Nate Ritches (Morris Higham management) explains, “It’s a small handful of markets where there is not only a venue but a team invested in their market with the build of up and coming artists. Investing many times, early on, like they did with Old Dominion and now Ryan Griffin and Brandon Lay. Long before a single hits the air ways… Trust in a venue team with a good ear in A&R and solid relationships within the Nashville community, to believe in and grow an act from the foundation up.”
Moonshine Flats would like to thank the country community and most importantly the Academy of Country music, for acknowledging the heart and passion that goes into opening our doors every single week!
Voting for the ACM Industry Awards opens on Friday, May 18th and closes on Monday, May 28th.
